Family Adventures…
I had an incredibly busy weekend with Roswell Street’s “Test Sunday”. Check out our new Connections Blog to find out more about that. I’ll be posting things regarding the Connections ministry on that page. I have to show you one picture that I took during tonight’s childrens musical. My son is on the bottom right, but check out the dude above him! Very funny!
As busy as my weekend was, it does not compare to a few of my family members. There are two parts to this story…
I tried calling my parents several times on Saturday morning, but I could not reach them. I finally got through around lunch time. It turns out that they had been at the hospital all night long! My grandmother fell down some steps at my parent’s lake house and she got hurt pretty badly. She is back home now (Sunday night), but she had a crazy experience.
I tried calling my brother after receiving this news. Calling several times, I could not get a hold of him. Finally, that night around 10:30p.m., he called me to tell me that he and his wife were at the hospital! It turns out that while they were at the beach on Saturday morning, a wind gust launched their beach umbrella into the air. It then came down like a spear into his wife’s arm. She had to have stitches inside of her muscle and outside of her arm.
This must be the weekend for the Mileys and hospitals. I had better watch over my shoulder!
